Default Binding MSR question

I am a newbie and am wondering if binding the MSR to a Hitec Eclipse 7 channel is do able.

I have an opportunity to pick one up at a great cost and am wondering if it is a good move. Plan on doing more with the hobby and hopefully going bigger and better as my skills grow this seems like an awful lot of transmitter but the price is great.

Thanks

It is an old tx and it is not DSM2, so, it most likely will not work unless there is a DSM2 module out for it. Couldn't find any,
