Default More OWB questions
Learned lots here about set up for my Hurricane and decided to try the stock OWB. It lasted for just under 30 flights. Was flying fine and then suddenly lost power and made a horrible noise. Made a poor auto and broke only the landing gear. Seemed to spool up fine afterward but the pins fell out when it was removed.
Replacement was pretty easy but the VXB looks identical to the stock one. I ordered this kit from HK almost a year ago is the stock bearing now a VXB? If so what are the tricks to keep it working? The bearing spins free and the OWB has just a touch of vertical movement on the shaft. Haven't had a chance to monitor temps yet but that will be next.

Also, do you lube and if so with what?

Default OWB
...The OWB/20T gears I have been getting have the 105---number that turns out to be a VXB no.
I use a small drop of Tri-Flow oil when installing them...
