Ok, so HobbyPartz was unable to help me out with getting the 1400mah Gens Ace packs. I guess I don't know what to do now. I guess I'll go with the 1200mah packs. Maybe I'd take a chance on trying the Chrome 1300 packs, but they are out of stock on the higher C packs. I also thought maybe I'd get double the quantity of the Gens Ace 1350 3s packs and use a series adapter or solder them together in 6s configuration, but two of the last 3 of this pack I ordered came with a puffed cell right out of the box. IDK, maybe I'll wait a bit and see if anything else pans out.

I have no concerns using the 35C Chrome packs. Since Chrome seem to be a high grade value choice, I am confident they will deliver. That is what many of our beta testers are using with no issues at all. The Chrome battery build quality is quite good too.

Sounds good enough for me to give them a try. I guess I'm just shy when it comes to trying new brands of lipo because I've wasted hundreds of dollars on lipos that only lasted me 10 cycles or less. So when I find a brand that works, I tend to stick with it. If these are working well for the testers, it should be good enough for me.

I just ordered one Chrome 35C 1300mah, and one Gens Ace 1200mah 40C pack. At least now I know I should have two packs to use when i finish the build. I'd like to pick up a couple more packs, but maybe I'll see if I can get any black friday deals on additional packs, or wait to see which one I like better. Maybe I'll try a Thor pack as well.

Thanx!

I've been using turnigy's with good sucess except with one kind of pack: the nanotecs 25c in traditional 3s form.
I have 2 35C, 4 25C, and two nanos 45C.
The nanos have maybe 2,5 months, the others have 5 months of VERY regular use. They could be in better shape if i didn't used the CC gov for about a month, now with the yep gov it's nice.
Will buy maybe 2 more for the higher rpm flights on the warp.

I tried turnigy nano tech 6s packs for my protos and my trex 550, i think theyre all 30 or 35c and they all puff like crazy, so i quit using them. The ones on the protos would come down scolding hot. I switched to gens ace and they come down cool with no puffing. I see a lot of folks having good luck with them, but somehing about them didnt work for me.

No problem on the 45 C's, with a 6s setup current is way low...
The two 25C have 2/3 cells that gone wild, they discharge evenly till 3.8 thean after that they fall like crazy.
When charging wo balancing, they reach 4.35...
Not using them any more.

I won't use another turnigy battery after my experience with their 3s packs. I take very good care of my lipos and these started puffing right after the 3rd cycle.

I'll stick to GA and Chromes, never had any issues with these brands.

Default Quick question...

New to the whole idea of 6S 450's. I take it due to having more cells, 1200-1400 is going to be able to still give a 4 minute flight time? My 2650 3S 450 gets about 4:50.
Can someone briefly explain please? Thanks.

Nevermind. Did some quick research and found out why. Lower kv motor, more flight time, better performance due to higher efficiency. COOL!!!

Flying with gov on this birds with large blades will give you lots of flight time.
This flight on my 450 stretch wit align 450 mx took 11.5 min.
I just couldn't believe on my tx timer!!

HOLY CRAP!!!! Dammit, I said my 7HV would be my last heli unless I smash my 450 to pieces, which I did, and I would get this, but not so damn soon My poor credit card.

Hey guys for lower headspeeds and longer flight times on the warp 360 what would you recommend GA 1200, or GA 1400? (I'd like to stick with GA because there easily accessible for me). Would GA 1400 be to heavy?

Thanks any info would be greatly appreciated.

The manual has the recommended pack weight range listed. The Thor 1350mAh 35C's I ordered are in the lower part of that range.

For CG purposes, I would stick with a more square pack like the Chrome 6s packs. It will be hard to get correct cg with a long pack and still be able to mount the canopy.

That's what I was wondering about. Seems most pics I've seen have the short, stubby packs mounted far forward. But those are on the lighter side so wondering if a slightly larger/heavier long thin style battery will balance. I'd prefer a little more capacity if possible.

Worst case scenario, just add a small counterbalance weight on the boom.

I have done this on more than one of my stretched versions. I prefer larger packs myself, and have already measured and weighed all my current 6s packs. I have them from numerous 1300s, 2250s, 2650s, and up. I have even run dual 1300 6s packs on my larger 420mm stretched 450s with inside canopy fitment. I see no real reason why a larger pack wont work here.

We should try to get a group buy together for the Gen Ace packs. I'll take 6.

That's what I'm trying to do here, but I have no idea about shipping lipos from Asia to America or overseas
