How is the pipe comming? I am thinking about getting a Spectra G and one of the 231 motors. Is the pipe available now?

1.5 years of pipe testing it obviouslly is not high on the to do list. While I would like to see a 'better' tuned pipe I find no problem with the one I am using setup right. No cracks no worries just flying.

BUMPiDUMP!

This thread is relative old, but are there any new tuned pipes coming for the new TRM engines?

The old baseball bat pipe while it was very effective, the combination of cost and complaints about the design being so long had me shelf it, but I am considering a new pipe design but that is if people want it. Most of the pilots I talk to rather have it very quiet the blisteringly powerful but we will see. Peace, Al

No one loves the "crackle" of a set of open stinger pipes on a hot 2stroke motor more than I do, but I know at the field I fly at there are noise restriction limits on what we can fly.
My personal opinion is that putting R&D dollars into a reasonably powerful but lower db level pipe that is simple to install and stays tight until you physically remove it is the best place to do research.

I agree, while the pipe is a powerhouse the design has to be friendly, quietish and easy to produce. the baseball bat while was easy to install , but was not cheap, not quiet enough. I will work on it. Peace, Al
