Default DS-16 finally here

Here we go - door bell ringing and ..... Fedex car in front of the house

Mystery solved -> partial shipment because the receivers will be shipped later.

Both DS-16 in the box. So that will be a very very long weekend. First heli should be ready tomorrow.

Here a few pictures - possibly one of the first DS-16 that made it to end customer.

Forgot to mention -> I did fire it up and on first glance looks goo and damn feels good.
Have to adjust / turn off the throttle ratchet first and adjust stick tension.

Documentation is DC-16 / DS-16 related. Will find out more tonight.

Congratulations!

And I'm sure you know that you can blame cbdane for that for all the R9's dissappearing! He claims to have purchased every R9 that they had in stock apparently as a result of my earlier thread that suggested there might be a run on the receivers. So I guess I indirectly share some responsibility as well.

Luckily my R7's are supposed to have shipped with my Transmitter.

well - we will blame you anyway.

However since I do have plenty of receivers I do not mind. i already ordered the receivers in January/February. So I am covered for the start. I am sure Danny knew who should be OK and sorted it out the proper way.

Just for those who know the current DX7 -> here a picture of the DX7 and DS-16 next to each other. However its an unfair compare.

I'll be able to sandwich mine between a 11X and a DX8.

It looks like it is a good size.

Actually as wide as the DX7 and a bit longer. Therefore not as thick. However its more heavy due to the material used. It feels good.

Finished the first units stick adjustments. I might move around some switches later today or tomorrow. On the other hand I may want to just setup the first heli.

Here a few pictures from the inside.

If I tell you that the mat was the only reason to wait that long I would lie.

Still I was surprised too.

Working through the manual for now. I may have to go online and see if that version of a manual is available online so I can put it on my iPad.

Cool thing is to have two of them and my son not being around yet. So one is on the charger and one I can play around with.

Planning to set a model up with sim stick first to get familiar with the programming tonight. ONce thats working I might take my Fusion 50 and set that up.

Don't forget Circle City Helis. They have the R9 receiver in stock along with other Jeti stuff. Just something to keep in mind when everyone bum rushes Esprit and their Jeti stuff is all bought up and shelves are bare.

thats correct - City Helis has a good selection of Jeti stuff. I actually did go there and buy what I had missing.

Issue for some of us was that when we pre ordered we did get the bundle incl. a receiver. Those seem to be out of stock but Danny was good to still ship the units and simple ship the missing receivers later. So I am sure its all cool.

It was just a bit confusing to receive the partial shipping notice first - but at the end ... all cool and good as is.

Well - I did get all done I wanted to do today. Cool that the SimStick Pro is working fine with the Jeti receiver. That way I was able to play around with the first setup without a real heli connected.
