10 Ohm 5W resistor for anti-sprak

I'm about to put together a series connector for a friend with the above resistor. According to my calculations, the capacitors should fully charge in about .2 seconds which should be slow enough not to spark but fast enough for the ESC to arm properly.

This is a HeliJive 120HV on 12S.

Is anyone else using a homebrew anti-spark on their Kontronics? What voltage, resistance and wattage? Does the ESC arm properly and does it do it's calculations properly as far as Mode 4 is concerned?

Nein. Der entstehende Blitz beim Anstecken an den Antriebsakku ist nicht schädlich für den Regler. Ein Antiblitzwiderstand von 5-6 Ohm und 0,5-1 Watt, eingebaut in der Zuleitung kannn den entstehenden Blitz verhindern.

Such a series resistor is okay as long as there are no caps connected to the BEC output, at least no caps w/o delimiting the charge current.
