I guess we are all guilty of going far OT. At least these are RC aircraft.

Maybe we should call this the Henseleit Lounge, where Henseleit owners come to talk about anything that is remotely interesting to some of us

That is the purpose of the thread.
To talk about different things with the core members, because they seems to be like the HF motto.
BTW is anyone here an admin of the Henseleit section, so maybe he can rename the thread?
I made it but i cannot edit it or the post.

All well?

Take this thread as some sort of place when you can post anything.
You know, all the off-topic stuff for which is no place in other threads.
Yes, this is the thread where everyone has the license to go off-topic!

@jointer, I'll PM one of the HeliFreak admins, ChrisH, to see if we can re-name this thread. He'll be joining the TDR club soon -- Jan has already shipped his kit so it'll just be a matter of days now.

What do you want to name it? "The Henseleit Off-Topic Lounge" or something like that? Let me know...

It's not that hard to start a new thread with a topic like that

I would like to see new thread, but called like "FAQ - ordering, pricing, shipping times, recommended and tested equipment and build tips from the owners - why we love the machine".
(yeah, bit too long)
It is all here but scattered and i am not as much enthusiastic as before to do that...
And some questions repeats every month or two.

Sorry Mike you were a little too late

Renamed jointer's existing thread and merged yours with it. Offtopic discussion can continue here.

This is true! As of today, my kit has left Germany so it should be reaching US shores this week I hope!

You will see and feel it is the best heli you have ever bought and flown. There are rare cases with pilots who fly hard 3D only, which does not like it, but usually TDR pilot have a tendency to sell everything else and buy another TDR.
You have been warned.

...nice! I use to do some photographing also, and bicycling. Before it was kung fu, yoga and computers.

I agree and can start a FAQ together later tonight. I envision the first post as most valuable -- edited as people add input... Correct?

Hey Chris,

Thanks for renaming the thread!

Let's hope your package has a short stay in customs and you get it this week.

BTW, I don't remember if you ordered the white o-ring bushings (I think you'll like them better than the black/teetering bushings based on how you fly). If you didn't order them, I have an extra set, along with a bunch of red and black dampers if you need them.

That is quite a lot experience.
I am quite young, i went from clubbing (that is visiting the music clubs to consume various drugs) to the other side - DJ and VJ (sweating pretty sober and trying to impress the drugged crowd). I was not the best and the interest went away with age; but good times.

I was and i am always interested in computers and technology in general, but i am over 9 hours/day in work, so as i am getting older, i do not want to spend also evenings with them.

I needed something which will get me out so i started flying helis about 4 years ago, with support from my friend.
But this winter was long, cold and i was lazy to go flying, so with help of other friend, i made a gun permit/licence so i can go indoor shooting in winter (i bought Glock 26).
I am trying to sell my TDR and i will get AR15 at the moment when it will be sold (or later, if it will not be sold).

I think this combination should last for some time, although i will not be combining flying TDR and guns together.

Chris wrote your permission to edit the first post will disappear over time, so be prepared for that.
But he will be with us and he can edit/paste in it.

Should cover:
- price (is only on german part of Jans site), shipping methods and times, payments, the process of order
- 80HV/120HV, motors, recommended servos (are enough), maybe blades (what to get for specific flight style), 710/115 is NO NO, 800 useless, links to the threads which were covering these things.
- what aftermaket upgrades could be useful and which ones might have some drawbacks (thick/heavy Fusuno canopies and their carbon parts)

That is what crossed my mind.
I know what i want to have there but do not want to spent the time doing it.

I didn't order bushings ... So I will keep you posted on that. I will try the stock ones first, and see if I have any problems with them.

I'm also hoping for a delivery soon but I think it'd be next week at the earliest. Still no arrival scan in the US.

I think Jan is including the white bushings in the kit. Mine came with two sets of white & 1 set of black ones.

Good to know, we'll see what I get in my kit.

I mailed to Jan and ordered white bushings and red o-rings so that it would be included in the kit when I got it. Actually I tried white/red+red but now white/black+black and that feels better so I'm glad I had the white bushings.
