Because I know it would happen
Another beautiful day yesterday, took the helis out for some flying. Went thru three packs on the 130 just doing some circles, figure 8's and a couple of flips, only had to bring it down a bit quick once but with no damage.
Then took up the 450, first pack was good, second wasn't so good, bringing it head in and yes forgot left is right and right is left and over corrected Damage assessment is bent flybar, broken main and tail blades, and both tail boom supports, and the vertical tail fin need replaced. Took the head off last night and the main shaft looks straight (yes the glass trick works), servos look good. Glad I have replacement parts on hand so I can put it back together tonight. I'll have a couple days to go thru it as we have rain for two days. Guess I'll go back online and order more replacement parts after I get these put on

Happens to the best of us! Good to know you're taking it in stride.
For your next order of replacement parts I'd be considering a flybarless head... After converting my 450 to FBL it's so much easier to fly, and so much easier to repair/tune! |
