Default Any information about new spektrum stuff?

With ircha fast approaching I was wondering if spektrum has leaked any news about anything new. I really like my DX7 gen 2 and love their user interface but I hate their telemetry equipment. Since they discontinued their tm1000 I'm hopeful that means they'll release some receivers with built in telemetry like everyone else has had for a while now.

The Spektrum site doesn't say that the TM1000 is discontinued. Instead, it's backordered into August for some reason.

The AR7350 and AR9350 do have the functions of the TM1000 built-in.

Interesting. It was showing as discontinued last time I looked. I was unaware of those receivers, but I guess I should have whined more specifically. I'm really looking for a receiver that can use 1 servo lead to connect to a flybarless unit and have telemetry and not have to pay for as3x. Those are both fixed wing receivers, I'd really like to see spektrum come out with something for helis for a change. They're so focused on three multirotor and their as3x system that they're missing an opportunity.

One wire connection sbus style, telemetry, enough ports to be useful. No as3x.

This is getting closer, but it should have at least 8 channels, end ports, and serial data.

I didn't notice that new AR6600T. It doesn't have AS3X, so better for helis, but I agree it should have more channels and a serial link if it's aimed at helis.

The AR7700 is their only offering right now with a serial (SRXL) connection, but it doesn't have telemetry. That's a pretty common complaint about it.

The AR9020 has srxl output, not exclusive to the 7700. The big issue is Spektrum has its own special code for srxl so it is not compatible with almost all current FBL units and custom hacks are being developed for multis even though it is suppose to be an open platform, go figure. Brain, Spartan etc. are working on getting Spektrum srxl compatible with their units. Love my DX18, however Spektrum is driving me towards a Jeti due to stuff like this and the sucky telemetry they currently have. The DX20 is a total fail to me. Sorry for the mini rant, just seems like Spektrum is slowly turning into Airtronics.

The DX20 is not even on sale? But already a total fail?

They are available on this side of the pond for $1300.00. The money put into a CF face plate and leather hand grips should have been put to better use. The only thing that gets a little attention from me IMO is the machined aluminum quad bearing gimbals. I am not knocking Spektrum, everything I have uses their equipment, just wish they would get with the program on some of the more desireable stuff like telemetry. Right now I would go Jeti Profi Box coupled with my DX18 for telemetry.

I saw a video of their new surface radio based on Android, hopefully a air version comes out soon. If it has bluetooth, you'll be able to do FBL config right from the main screen

It will be a cold day in hell before Andy allows a touchscreen anywhere near his Airware.

Yes, Andy K. has made that quite clear on RCG.

Exactly. Even their new DX20 with sex dungeon leather grips was a feature-wise fossil before it was even released.
