Outrage is currently reworking the tail and working on a CNC main gear.

They really need to provide some kind of upgrade path here and not abandon all the V90 owners...

I do not advice to buy the outrage 90. The issues are too widespread. They come from a multitude of factors, but starting with the actual design, leading to the tail issues,gears,etc...etc...

I also wanted a V90. Compared to the other 700 class machines in the market, the V90 was always unique IMO, it really stood out to me. Im pretty dissapointed that there has been so many different problems, i hope outrage fixes it before i purchase a kit!

I really like the Outrage 90 been looking at other 90 sized nitros due to all the bad reviews but I always come back to the Outrage. Are they really that bad?

Parts are still being made and are available. There's a completely new tail assembly on the way to address the reported problems (v2 upgrade). A new main gear was also released.

Sweet, always good to hear when you got one on the way. I'm kinda hoping it don't need it but we shall see?

So I just got a good deal on a set of rear and front tail drive gears for my V.90 (the black one's) My question is should I go ahead and swap them out? The one's in there now are the white one's. I haven't flown it yet I just bought the air frame used I'm waiting on the plastic ball links. I had to order some because? When I was building it, I broke 2 it was like they were brittle from setting or being exposed to the nitro?

The best advice I can give is to at least change the rear gear set. I have flown with the new black gears in the rear and the newest version of the white gears in the front with no stripping. (This is with an original boom block) Without a picture I don't know which version of white gears you have. Just ensure to check the mesh and how smooth the entire tail drive is. If there is any cogging or ratcheting try another set of gears. Keep your eyes opened for the "v2" tail assembly. For worry free operation I would upgrade asap.

I do notice some ratcheting in my tail drive? All the gears IMO have perfect mesh except for the rear tail hub gears there is no mesh there at all there. That's the one's I need to change then right? And what do you need a picture of I will get it? I would like to know witch version I got? If you can help me please? I also got another Boom block with these black gears? I don't know is if this was a coincidence or not? So do I possibly need to replace the boom block to? I can post pics of it to?
