Default Rebind after calibrating endpoints when using the Jive HV80

Im in the startpit to take the first testflight with my 12S Logo 500 3D.
But first i have to set up the jive and thats an easy task.
Im allso planning on calibratingt throttle endpoints so i can use Mr.Mels headspeed calculator to get the wonted headspeed, but after these calibration do i have to rebind the rx ore not?

I personally did not rebind after calibrating the endpoints on my Jive and its been flying fine for a little over a 100 flights.

What size packs are you running for 12S?
What blades?

Im running Rotortech 550 blades on main rotor, edge 92 on the tail and 2x 6S 2650 30C Turnigy packs.
The heli got a litle nose heavy from them as they was bigger then adverticed so they protruded further out in front then calculated.
Added some weight to the tip of the tailboom to balance it out.
The 600 canopy i bought these winter allso came in handy when i saw the length of the packs.

Now the first testflight is done and one thing is fore shure, its more then enough power in these machine.
I though that my 4S 450 was powerfull but these is directly loonie.

Thanks fore the info about rebinding and i will rebind with 100% endpoints if i have to rebind later.

What kind of flight times are you getting at what head speeds?
Please fill us in after first few flights, considering similar setup but on a 500SE with 600's

Flight times are not messured yet but at the first and onely flight so far i drained 87% of the packs and thats from checking governor without blades, 5 test punches with start stop between them to adjust gyro gain and one F8.
Didnt time it as i though i was well within the setups capacity but my gearmesh was allso to tight sucking up alot of juice heating the motor.
But the packs was onely warm to the tuch after the last landing.
Have now lightened the mesh and are going fore 3 minute flights to break in the packs gentle and get an idea of flight times.

When we speak of blades i have discovered with my 450 that rotortech blades make the heli draw more power then edge blades does so i expect the lack of effisiancy to the 550 blades too.

Headspeed i have not messured but as these is my first big heli i got scared bye the headspeed i got even from the 50% throttle line i started with.
But if the headspeed calculator is right i had 1850 rpm on it.

The motor is Scorpion 4025-630 with 13T mod 07 pinion on but i ordered a 12T pinion these evening to lower the headspeed at least until im comfortable with these bird.

I imagine you will get a little better than a 6S 5000 500 would due to higher efficiency.
If you get 6-7mins I will likely try a 12S setup over my current 10S 4500's
Maybe like a 3000-3300 range for me with 600's

Was hoping fore 5-6 minutes and if i get more i see it as a bonus.
BTW. these is a flybared machine so there is a tiny amount more of drag here then on a FBL machine.
