Hello,

I meant Corrado confirmed the sequence I gave

@babyuh1 : yes it's for the protos, not the mini (you don't need a thrusted tail on a 450).

Regards,
Thomas.

I bought it, I wonder if I solve the vibration problems in the tail! As it is now, it can't fly.....

Hello,

Same hope for me, I have the thrust tail upgrade with the shrouded screws, but I think the tail hub is a bit off. The new tail hub for thrusted tail should be better.

Regards,
Thomas.

The Infinity Hobby thrust kit should never be available for sale.
It is complete rubbish.

I had 8 flights of full 3d, then it sheared a bolt and threw a grip in flight.
Took me 3 weeks to find that cnc grip.
The worst part was how close it actually landed to me.

DO NOT use the Infinity thrust kit.

Has anyone tested this on the Protos 500 yet? Any improvement or issues?

OK, please report back and let us know if it's a worthwhile upgrade. I know there were reported issues with the Infinity-Hobby one but hopefully this one is good.

just mounted mine too ... friday will test it

just a little issue I had with KBDD tail blades (I love yellow and orange fluo )
I had to file a little the back of the blade because with the thrusted bearing the screw protrudes a little more in the grip

Hi urgno, me too.. I've bought it at hely-go! I hope that the vibrations stop, I also mounted the spindle bearings of the tail, not msh, but of eflite blade 400, are much better!

Today I did a little test to the new tail! First on the table, without heads,
zero vibration .. Then I reinstalled rotor head and I did a bit of hoovering in
garden: perfect, the tail does not seem to vibrate more ..

Saturday I will do further testing and see how it behaves!

I can say that the thrusted tail is working better with the tail servo, the pieces
are well done and the hub is perfect, no wrong hole....! Perfect bearing tollerance..

I also replaced the tail shaft bearings with the blade 400 main shaft bearing, are much better!!

Are the tail grips that come with the new thrust kit the same as stock? They look like it and use the same 4x8mm bearings, but I want to be sure.

Those new tail hubs look to be key to a low vibration tail. The previous ones have off-center tail shaft hole and also tail grip screw holes that are not 90 degrees perpendicular with the tail shaft hole. I found that issue with one of mine.

Hello,

Finally tested mine yesterday (along with my new MiniToast ).
No more tail vibrations, I decreased the tail gain, tails is working like a charm now, makes the Protos an even better heli.

And the Mini is very very good too !

Regards,
Thomas.

[EDIT] And it's cheap ...

I'm a little curious about why we had to lower the gain with this new tail

Hello,

Because less vibe, less friction, then the servo is faster, need less torque, and then you need to lower the gain

Regards,
Thomas.

Is the hub a little wider, increasing disk area? I need on too!
