Default TO RICH OR LEAN

Question??? I have a Whiplash with the TRM 270TT, I have a couple of gallons thru it runs great tons of power and smooth, but when I unload the disc it has a miss and then a shudder, smooths out right away. Also from idle up to normal it does the same thing, stock gearing 1800 idle 1, 1900 idle 2. Cylinder temps at exhaust is 195 right after shut down. running 32:1 on pump gas..spark plug is dark so seems rich, I am just afraid of being to lean....
Should I just lean the high screw till the hickup goes away????
Should I be running 40:1 instead ?????
Klotz oil is what I am using.
Thanks for any help

I am here, sounds a bit rich. If the plug is dark you can lean it out, just mind your temp and plug color. I would go in just a blade width at a time until you get to the right setting. It sounds like it's loading up on fuel not oil. If you lean out your oil mix you will richen your fuel/air mix. I would go on the high needle if your idle to transition is clean but if sounds rich up to the transition start with the low needle, It has an effect on both circuits. It probably won't take much. If you have any ? give me a shout. Peace, Al

depending on your tastes, 40:1 works for me but if you are going to pipe it I would run 32:1.
