Default CGY750 Swash Servo Installation and Setup

Hi all, doing my first install of a CGY750. Using firmware v1.4. On page 13 of the manual it states;

"Navigate to the [SWASHsetbasic] -> SWS.Rate parameter. This will disable the gyros and cause the servos to remain centered during setup."

It does disable the servos but it does not center them. Am I missing something?
Thanks
Stu

It does not center them like a Beast X regardless of stick position. You still need to go mid stick when installing the servo arms. But what it does do is the gyros will not be moving the servos as your are trying to do a setup.

Right, what Marc said. What I do with my 14SG is pull up the servo monitor screen so that I can make sure that I have the collective at exactly mid-stick while I'm leveling the swash and setting zero pitch.

Default Zero

I will usually set up a temporary pitch curve that is zero all of the way across. That way even if the stick moves you will remain at mid stick value. I have done this since 2006 on flybarred models.

Thanks guys. I have used the flat pitch curve on other setups. Was keen to make sure my unit was not faulty as the manual seems to indicate that it locks the servos at mid stick... Apparently not...

Nope, it does not. I like it because it makes it really easy to check how level the swash is at the full range of collective movement (using a linear pitch curve, obviously).
