480xx combo motor and CC75?

I put my Gaui X4 classic in really hard a couple weeks ago and the damage is getting into the $$$ regions. I'd been mulling the idea of trying a Mikado and a 480 would slot into my current fleet nicely.

My electronics re-use plan is pretty good with very little waste but the big question mark is the CC EDGE 75. Will it work or should I not even bother and just go with a 90 like the combo ESC? I'm a sport/light 3D flier but I live in a very hot region so ESC margin's pretty important.

If not I would just do the super combo and try to trade the v-bar for an ikon. I'd like to save a bit of cash but not at the risk of doing a half arsed build.

I used a castle 75 on my stretched atom running 515s and had no issues. I didn't run crazy high head speeds though.
