Well with a stock EFL Pro with the exception of a beastX I have been running 1950-2100HS. I got around 4-5 minutes of Sport/3d flying and packs are just barely warm, and I put back around 1700-1900mah into my Turnigy 2650 6s 20-30c packs and about the same using my turnigy 2650 6s 40-50c packs from my T500.
The lower weight is grreat too and flies really nicely. Les ps. I am prompted howvever to give some 3000-3300 size packs to see the difference.

I think you more or less answered your own question here. Depending on the brand you use the weight of the packs is normally indicated on the spec so you should go for a lighter brand if possible or suffer the consequence of a slightly higher weight which may affect you CofG depending on placement.

Thinking about purchasing the newer trex 600e pro dfc with the new 730 motor they are putting in the kit now. I'm not too much interested in hardcore 3d, but more sport flying. What is the best battery combo size and flight times to expect? And at what hs?
It's either this kit or the trex 550 because I heard they get more flight times but I also heard they have their issues. Any info would be appreciated Thanks |

If you gear the 600 correct I don't think the 550 is going to be able to touch it on flight time.
I know with my 12S rexy flying reasonably hard I get 5 minutes, and still have up to 40% left in the pack at the end of the flight... Flying my X5 the same, in 4:20 I have 25% left...

So what should my gearing be? If I buy a brand new kit what should I add to my cart? Pinion? Different motor?
Don't forget it comes with the 730! What motor are you running? |

It is always better to fly lightweight. I favor 3000 mAh SLS APL.
I think the range up to 3300 mAh is OK. I would not suggest 4000 mAh batteries, even if they fit in. I personally think, that you feel the weight in the curves, or when changing direction. Many fly for that reason Goblin, because the comparable Goblins are always more lightweight and fly better. But Align is more solid. Sven |

depends a bit on what motor you've got, but certainly the SLS APL V2 are one of the best packs around.
Flown from 3200/3700/4300 on my 600Pro. Depends on what i wanna do, the higher mah for practice and lower mah for more 3D stuff as it does influence your COG and pitch control. |
