Default Switching gears TDR likes the BE.

I just put my other SK-720 BE on my TDR just to see how it looks.

I've also gone from a 13T to a 14T pinion and put stiffer head bushings on it.

This is a fresh rebuild and I balanced the tail blades before spinning it up.

Right now at 2,040 rpm I'm seeing 2.6G at the tail and 1.1G at the main shaft and .58 at the motor which is pretty darn smooth for over 2K rpm on this heli.

I just copied my old SK-720 Blue configuration over to it and it is all working as expected.

The Banshee is currently collecting dust.

Well done, that is super low. Excellent work!

What motor do you have in it?

I have a 750MX in my 7HV causing high vibes (Bad bearing) and have contemplated going with a different motor that would be less vibe producing.

Pyro 700-52 with 14T helical pinion and properly shimmed counterbearing.

At 1500 and 1700 rpm the vibes are barely noticable. .25-75G

I don't get much of any vibration off of my Pyro 800-48 either. Both are very smooth.

If the 750MX has bad bearings, why don't you just press them out and put in new ones ?

When I built up my Synergy E5, I put in a new set of bearings and a longer shaft on my 600MX so it would reach the counterbearing and it has been very smooth too.

I like quality electronics, but I hate waste, and when his motor may just need a few bucks worth of bearings to make it right, I don't see the point in suggesting he upgrade.

Pyro's tend to run cooler and be lighter than Scorpions, and they tend to be more efficient and lighter than Aligns, but I know people who have had bearings on their Pyros fail too.

Currently I've got 2 Scorpions, 2 Pyros, and one MX

I was hoping to get you to laugh....

I am the one with the motor and made the above comment..

Anyway.. I don't have a press and don't feel like spending $50 on one just for this repair..

A tool is forever!

But if the idea scares you, then buy a new motor and send yours to someone who has no problem popping a new set of bearings in it. You might find someone who wants a used 750MX like that to rewind into something really powerful.
