3GX and Futaba SBus
I have an Align 700E V2 with 3GX and use a standard Futaba receiver, Align digital servos and a Fromeco voltage regulator. I'd like to change out the receiver to a Futaba SBus variety and eliminate the voltage regulator by going to a high voltage setup (straight 2S lipo). My question involves the servos. Can I use regular digital brushless heli servos with the 3GX/Futaba SBus combination, or must I purchase SBus servos and a programmer? I can't seem to find that answer on the Internet. My assumption is that the 3GX, being SBus compatible, will decode the serial signal stream from the SBus receiver and send the correct channel to the correct 3GX output; therefore, programmable SBus servos would not be required. I want to make sure I understand this correctly before purchasing anything. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

SBus
I currently run the SBus on two 250's with the 3GX. Nice to get rid of the cable loom. I believe the 3GX manual shows the SBus / 3GX setup. The 3GX does the decode so sbus servos are not required (digital are required)

3GS and Futaba SBus
Sndflea: Thanks. That's what I thought but wanted to confirm it before ordering everything.

The servos will handle 2s straight up without changing them out.
