Uses an ARC 28-47-1, Het 70mm fan, 85amp esc and of course Neu 2600 40c 4s's. Cranks about a buck thirty and the vectored thrust works! How bout a 180 at speed! I finished the foamy with polycrylic and glass, Rustolium neon and poly clear.
Hmm, I've seen those pics on another forum. But with a different name.

I am going to the AMA show, hopefully they will have a great show price on the Squall.

Terry, I used my pylon design name there.

invertmast, Yea after reading up on the 100+ pages I thought I'd go for a bit more power. It'll hover and shoot straight up out of my hand, a little squirrelly in a breese trying to hover.

Flew well on launch but had separation on control input because of sharp leading edges. Hard belly flop at over a hundred, I almost got it back,,,
how do you like my balanced packs?

Yup! a 4s and 5s. Didn't have any room for adjustment. I wanted to build a speed jet and was eventually going with the 5s that balanced perfectly.

Sorry for your loss Tom, she was a looker for sure. Do you think the T/V unit would have made the difference on the attempted save?

I'm wondering if you might have been better off to pack the lead around the nose of the battery and obtain desired CG/balance with less total weight. Nah, you'd be splitting hairs.

Well guys here's an update, last year I shamelessly went through 5 Squalls trying to go 200mph with a foamy edf, well I made to 170 officially and as of late managed to squeeze a bit more out of the system cranking 1700 watts @ 86 amps on 18.4-18.5v drop after a few min run static.
Neu 1112-2D/CC125/Outrage 35c 5s 3700's. Enjoy! [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pF7A3aCQqGY[/ame]
