You double check all the connections? Dont have the polarity on the leads from the 3-G wrong? What Radio, RX. Are you getting power to your RX?

Finallly if it still wont power up where did you buy the unit from?
I would only buy Align products from a vendor who uses Heliwholesaler as there supplier. Only way I have seen being able to get consistent warranty service.

You are a fool. the align works so perfect for me and alot others. Most problems are user error. And if you have a deffect just get another one you wont be sorry. But like I said you have to follow instructions with any fbl unit and thats hard for a lot of people..

Ill im saying is that its defective out of the box ( that is no good). you cant even contact align USA to get a replacement. you have to ship to TAIWAN and hope they speak English to try to even get a replacement.
I don't think that good customer service. And helipross says you have to contact align. WOW what a run around. TITLE SAYS IT ALL. I have flowen one with 3g and yes it s ok.

It is possible to have a faulty unit. Sounds like he has double checked the obvious problem areas and the unit still won't power up. In this case I would say faulty unit and has nothing to do with ease of installation.

I had a faulty 3-G myself. Had a problem with the rudder gyro sense. My unit was replaced with 0 hassle from Heliwholsaler, which is why I recommended trying to purchase from vendors who use them as a Dist.

Hope it works out for you but I would be scared if its from the helipross with two S's.

If the receiver wires are plugged in wrong it won't power up.. Just plug one wire in from the receiver and try it.. Switch it around and try it again.

If you are seeking help, do so.

If this is simply a thread to rant, I'm going to close it and move it.

This is unproductive. As it reads for now it is simply a rant.

TowPilot,

You may think its not productive, but its good for all of us to see problems and what type of service people are receiving. This is key to purchasing products. When we have threads ranting about how good a product is those are never closed.

True but this should remain informational. The harsh words are not needed to deliver the message.
The posts as they are, give the appearance this thread will spiral away from being helpful.

When posts start with:
Quote:
Kjones3181 don't be stupid
the death-spiral of a thread is initiated.

So it either stays informational and not inflammatory or the thread loses the message in the noise.

I have bought from Helipross and didn't have any problems, but I didn't have to return anything. Glad to know that they don't seem to friendly about returns. I was leery at first to even order from them. I hope you can get the return sorted so you can use the unit. I have had some great products fail on first power-up, or before, and know how frustrating it can be.

I do have 3 3G units in service on a 500, 600e, and 700e with nothing but satisfactory results. The only thing I wish is that they would ship the programming dongle with the main processor...

I buy from a reputable US based dealer (Grand RC) that I know will help me if I have any issues. I have 6 Align 3G in operation right now and not a hint of trouble.

I think the primary issue here was going with a less that stellar dealer. Electronic failures happen. Buying from a place that does not have a reputation for service just makes things painful
