Default pinion on a himax for shogun 400

hi all, i'm new to rc anything, weel i've been flying heli for a couple of months now. i bought a shogun and want to put a himax motor on it. the only problem is the pinion gear. i'm wanting to use a 10 tooth, but the slide on and off ( not tight) should it be glued on with loctite. its a 2mm bore. and the pinion just slides off with ease.
thanks for any help.

Green loctite, but you might want to try another pinion to confirm the fit. Mine fit great, good press fit. :!:

Default 8t pinion over 10t pinion 2025 4200 himax

Why the 8t pinion over the 10t pinion with the himax 2025 4200 motor??

The motor will get too hot using a 10t pinion on the 2025-4200. Make sure you use the right green Loctite as there is more than one green. The Loctite you want to use to secure your pinion is #680. Loctite #290 is a wicking thread lock and is also green and won't work on your pinion.
