Default Hobbywing Platinum V3 100A problem

Just wondering if anyone know what is going on?

This thing is basically brand new and has never been flow, I am trying to set it up and it just does this when I plug in the program card...

Hobbywing Platinum V3 100a problem (0 min 19 sec)

Also, When hooked up to the FBL, it will provide power to the BEC, however, it does not turn over the motor even with the throttle on.

Do you have the programmer plugged into the programming port or did you use the throttle lead from the ESC to connect to the programmer?

Programmer is connected to the program port. I tested the other leads just in case, however, they don't do anything

I emailed hobbywing and have not received any response yet.

I got a response back from the Technical support. Stated something is clearly wrong with the firmware/software installed, try to reflash it and see if it fixes. I can not do this as the firmware doesn't allow me into the heli. They then refered me to customer service.

Customer service said they could fix it for me but I have to pay for shipping to and from china and it could take a very long time to recieve it back. They advised me it is best to get in contact with the distributor and see if they can help me first.

Very awesome product, terrible support.

That is disappointing, great new product that could set a standard for price.. but without CS.. what's the point?

The program box has it's own firmware. You can update that and see if it helps. Maybe also try connecting the box to pc with USB, it will turn on before it gets bec power, then plug in the battery to the esc.

Finally got a response to do an RMA with falcon siekdo the NA distributor. Going to send it in for repair/replacement.

I tried everything. Nothing will get it to connect to anything and the FET gets very hot when plugged in doing nothing.

Mine got hot during setup as well. I believe this is normal. I just went with it and it didn't fry out. Was a concern though.

received the repaired unit back, have not tested it yet but I was informed there was a bent pin on the inside causing the issues. They sent me a new one back but not my connectors.

Hope it goes well, I've finally been using mine this weekend on my new G500. Works perfect!!

It is coming down quite hot though(can't use fan), I've been using the stock e-flite 550 6s motor that came with my blade 550x kit. 32khz pwm, 15deg timing.

Seems to have plenty of power, but sucks down the juice, my revolectrix 6s 3700mah's are coming down at 60 degrees celsius, 28 degrees ambient.

If the ESC is hot I would try bumping the PWM down. Maybe 16 or 24khz.

With the Align 460mx and the 50 amp V3 I found 24khz to be the best setting but every motor is different.

Bumping it down should help decrease ESC heat and will probably not effect the motor since that is such a high PWM
