Default Cyclic only recenter when motor not spinning HELP!!

Hi,
Im relatively new to this hobby, so please bare with me.

I have just upgraded my stock ds416m servos (as you only have to look at them to strip the gears) to a set of hs-5065mg's but i seem to have an issue;

with the heli stationary after moving the cyclic control they re center but when the blades are spinning the swash stays where it is after an input.
another strange thing is that hold the pitch or ail the elevator will gradually move as well.

I thought these servos would just be a straight swap, was I wrong?

btw I left the stock align servo for the tail on.

Than you!!

For some FBL units this is normal on the bench.

The servos should be a straight swap (but re-balance the heli head afterwards).

Which heli? FB or FBL? What electrical components are on the heli?
(ESC, Motor, BEC?, RX, FBL?, cyclic servos (hs-5065mg), tail servo)

With FB, it is a mechanical stabilization and will try to level the heli. FBL will hold the heli in the position that you left it when you let go of the controls. I could be wrong, but sounds like normal behavior to me.

BTW, how are you checking it with the blades spinning?

Hey Guys,

Thanks for your replies!

You kinda gave me the confidence to go out and try her out, I've just spent 1 month upgrading it with aluminum parts etc so i was pretty scared to try it but it seemed ok other than a possible tail issue (wagging) but i think i may have found the problem (always seems to happen, you solve one problem which leads to another!) but maybe you can answer this one??
so I changed out the stock plastic tail case to the align aluminum one but the stock tail slider arm (think thats what it is called) seems very close to the underside of the tail case, i think it is rubbing which I think could case the tail wag (have tried adjusting the gain already)

so does anyone know if the plastic tail slider is compatible with the alum tail case??

oh and btw solman I only spun the blades just below take off speed.

Thanks!!
