I heard it K2, but we are only a few hundred miles away from each other!
Sladex, there is a limitation. I never watched many videos or asked these type of questions on the forum. What most of us did was get a 450 that with some luck would not land us in the hospital. I learned from trial and error, I have fond memory's of my SR's spooling up and instantly destroying them selves. I picked up my first heli about two years ago, never had rc anything. It was a MSR, then SR 120, SR, MCPX, trex 700, Blade 450 (converted it to FBL), 450x , 130x and now goblin. And that thing scare the shit out of me Without help from another heli expert, learning FBL control systems is a process that takes time. Time you have not invested. No free ride brother. So where are you at in the process? Sounds like you discovered no input on gyro channel? However the default value in beastx supplied HH mode, So where does this leave you?
Gyro input from radio is not needed for it to work, just does not give you remote control over it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Sladex, I still have blade strike marks on one of my Tv's from the blade 120sr and lots of noob' mistakes ranging from my mcpx to Blade 450 3d when learning. I didn't move up to a 550 until I felt comfortable in my own ability with heli setup etc. Again, all these 'silly' mistakes were made while learning on far smaller birds than a 700. but if those 'silly' mistakes were made with my 700.....well it doesn't even bare thinking about. I'm not saying I wont make a mistake again, of course not, but I've certainly reduced the likelyhood by taking my time, getting expert help and not rushing into the 'biggest and baddest' heli you can buy. Look at it this way as imo its similar to model helis-- When getting your Heli licence for real they dont normally put you in a Hughes500 by yourself to learn the basics, do they. You start smaller until you know the basics. And then, once deemed safe and competent, you can then get rated to fly bigger, and normally, faster, more complicated aircraft. |

Sladex, my apologies to you for sounding like a smart ass grown up, but I suspected you were a young person, but, also thought you were a hard headed adult.
Please, follow the advice of the experienced pilots, and get your 700 build mechanically checked out, your ar7200bx setup checked out, as well as your dx8 setup checked out, before your maiden flight ends in disaster. You will benefit greatly by getting this stuff checked out, as well as learn from an experienced pilot.....

Don't give up on getting help quite yet. Where are you going to fly? IMO (again?!?), you'd be crazy not to fly at a designated model field with a 700. If you find one near you, then there is a good likelihood that there will be others around. If you have to find a way to travel to it, then it's almost certainly worth the effort to have an experienced 700 heli pilot help you out! Oh, wait! Make that:
