Default What is larger on an 800 heli from a 700?

Is the frame any larger, or is it just the blades and tail boom that are longer? Thanks.

If u are referring to the Align Trex, the frames are larger on the 800 than the 700 ones.

I believe the battery area of the frame is taller, but the frame above that is the same as the 700, with longer boom and blades.

The tail boom is a larger diameter then the 700. Therefore different boom holder and tail case.

I have 50% parts from 800 in my 700 v2. Hole tail from 800E. Swings 813 edge blades. Nice and stable 700.

My 700 started out as a V2 F3C but over the past few months it has morphed into an 800.

Last year I fitted the 800 stretch kit with the Align 800 Trekker blades, while it improved the way it flew I felt it was still held back by the old push pull system.

So last week I bought the 800 pro frames and bearing blocks plus other needed parts, stripped all the electrics, head and tail from the old frames then fitted them to the 800 frames, I now have what I concider a cheap 800 heli to go with the others.

This thing now flies great, the boom is slightly shorter than my other 800 birds but it still flies as good.

You may ask why do it, well, because I can and it was an interesting project.

For my flying style the 800 is soooo much more stable than the 700, I still have my 700 Pro but prefer the 800 any day.
