Koby 55 smoking my motors
Hi guys,
While I was setting up my warp 360 I completely burnt the motor, I was testing the esc with the bullet connectors uncovered, and I think they must of accidentally touched cause my motor started to smoke like crazy! My 6s lipo was very hot but my esc was perfectly cool. The next day I tested it again, this time on a new 6s motor with motor wires covered, plugged the lipo in and my motor started smoking again! Is my esc fried??? Is the current from the lipo just going straight to the motor and frying it?? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Alex |

No rather a case of motor not suitable for 6s. Have you a bigger motor to test with

Don't know about the motor, but touching bullet connectors won't burn a motor. It shorts the ESC, motor gets little to no current.
You don't say what you are doing when the motor burns up. Are you trying to run it? (I'd guess so, but usually you don't do that on the bench unless the pinion isn't making contact with the main gear. In that case the load would be pretty low. |
