Default PL6/PL8 Max Amps Settings

Hi Guys -

I have one PL6 and one PL8 V2, running through a 75A, 24V HP Server Supply setup. I'm trying to determine a safe setting for max amps on both when running simultaneously. I know running each independently I shouldn't have any issues in running either to max specs, but I'm looking for a safe medium when running both simultaneous charging 6S packs.

As I understand, the PS is capable of delivering 1800W at the advertised 75A spec (actually running a little over 24V in series). If I assumed an 85%-90% efficiency that's 1,500 - 1,600 watts.

At 30A both would need 38A input or 915W or 1,830 total which would be over the peak. Is it safe to run them both at 25A output when running simultaneous? That would put them at a requirement of 31A input each or 744W*2 = 1,488.

Conversely if I wanted to run the PL8 at peak it would need 1200W input, I would be left with reserve of 300W to run the PL6 at 10A output?

Inputs?

Assuming your AC source and your supply can keep up, you will have roughly 1600 watts available to the packs. The current will vary based on the cell count for the packs. For 6s that would be about 64 amps of output between the two chargers. This is the peak value when the packs are at 4.2v per cell. You will have slightly more current available at the start of the discharge the packs are not fully charged.
