Default Embarrassing Titan x50 question

Guys be kind, I am in the final days of assembling my Raptor x50 torque tube. I have build two previous heli's an Align 450 sport and and Align 600 Esp. I need to add that I crash alot so I thought I was getting ok at fixing and flying. My problem is that I have almost everything together on the Raptor and thought I was getting close. I slapped a pitch gauge to see where I was at and when the swash moves up I go negitive. I have checked and rechecked servo movement, the drawings in the manual. I know it is in front of my face I am just missing it. After this question you may want me to go back to the electric side and stay.

All Help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Well it's an eccpm heli, so just reverse your swash mix for pitch in your radio?
If cyclic all good?

Hey jaybird333: I don't have ane x50, however, on the older raptors, we would flip the control arms onto the other side of the rotor head, and then turn the swash assembly upside down to give the raptor a positive delta angle, also known as leading edge blade grip orientation. Long story short, when the swash plate went up, the blade pitch would go negative. Which was no big deal, since all we had to do was reverse the servo on the transmiter and everything was fine with the transmitter stick orientation. I doubt that the x50 was designed that way, but I'm really not sure. So you may want to re-check your control arm and washout orientations to make sure all is well. Good luck to you, these little buggers can make batty at times.

Actually, on the X50, when the swash goes up, the blade do go into the negative pitch range. Be sure to check out the pictures in the back of the manual showing if you move your collective stick up, the swash will go down.

Oh I didn't read that right, was thinking you meant when your collective stick moves up you go into negative. Must be like a blade 400 head.

I had to get mine out to be sure. I've been ready to maiden mine since 1:22am Monday morning. Working night shift has it perks, but it sort of kills the urge to do anything in the day time.

I worked nights for 3 years I hated it. I just knew I put something together backwards on the head. I had my T-rex 600 esp along side of the raptor which was really messing me up since they are different. I have everything I need to make it smoke,I just need to go back and double check everything. My electric's never bother me to fly this is a different animal.

Just be sure to make sure the blades move the same was as the T-rex. If the blades move the same way, you're sure to be on the road to getting it maidened. No go on my maiden. Got something up with the throttle servo or governor or who knows what the heck.....
