Default DFC pitch links instead of anti-rotation bracket!

So what do you think? If it works to get rid of the swash driver why not put them from the servos to swash and get rid of the anti-rotation bracket? Think it would be simple and cool. I think the servos could handle the side load . I could use 3 pitch links. One for each servo. Maybe get some metal servo arms too. There shouldn't be much force anyway. any thoughts?!

Links need to lean inside and outside on the ends.. On elevator servo it would work.

You can get this if you want to get rid of antirotation bracket: http://www.fast-lad.co.uk/store/heli...4-p-17993.html

Ya I looked at them. Just think they are bulky and kinda goofy. So do you think it would work with just one pitch link on the elevator and a metal servo arm? would that be enough?

The tops of the links would have to be paralel to the rotational direction of the swash in order to prevent rotation. Think about it for a bit and you'll see why it wouldn't work with a standard swashplate that has radially aligned link balls. It would work, but not without a specially designed swashplate. Basically you'd need to turn the threaded holes for the links 90 degrees.

I think that it's not worth it though as you are replacing a simple and effective bracket with 3 DFC links and their associated bearings. This seems to me to be going backwards with the concept of DFC by making the head more complex with no gain in performance.

Idk. I have been away at work so haven't got to play around with it but.. . I think one dfc link on the rear would do the job and look better. I see how the sided wouldn't work but I think the rear would.

It wouldn't, look at the direction of rotation on the bearings at the link end vs the direction the swashplate is trying to turn and you'll see why. You need to turn the link 90 degrees for it to stop the swashplate from rotating.

There's really no point to this as the anti rotation bracket is a much simpler solution to the problem. Why make something more complex for no additional performance gain?
