Default Trex 600 canopy on a Huri?

I use a Trex 500 canopy on my Huri 425, but it's a bit small. Helidirect has there blank canopies on sale real cheep, like five bucks, so I picked up two 500 and two 600 size. (They were out of 550 size already.) I have seen them with 550 canopies, well at least pictures of them with 550 canopies. What does a Huri look like with a 600 canopy? Anyone using a Trex 600 canopy?

Thanks

IMHO the 600 is a bit too big. I use 500 and 550 and the 500 is a bit tight, but the 550 fits very well

That is what I am afraid of, but for $5 each, why not try? And if it is too big, at least I get to practice air brushing them.

Someone (I think that it was Jungle Bob) tried it - try a search for Trex 600 canopy

That looks like it was made for the Hurri. I think I'll get one when they are back in stock. My gaui cano is starting to look like an old shoe.

Yep...you will need to trim the "Ears" at the back to level them off on top...
You can put a "BIG HONKIN" Battery under there!

I was thinking about trimming, do you do anything special to make the ends neat? Or can I just cut it with a big set of scissors and sand it smooth?

I used a large set of tin snips and any fibers that were left or frayed, I trimmed with scissors or flush cutting snips...Sand smooth with your Dremel and salt to taste!

I got the canopies in, I cut one of the 600 down. I think it looks pretty good.

I am looking forward to painting it, but I need to practice with the air brush first.

The end result:

Cutting with scissors and sanding smooth works pretty well. I am amazed how nice of a line you can get that way. If my measurements are correct I will be able to fit a 3300mah lipo under this canopy easily.
