Default 425 + Tarot ZYZ setups

Hi all,

hands up whose using a Tarot ZYX flybarless controller?

I have been setting mine up using a modded Tarot 500 flybarless head. I've had one test flight and other than a slight pitching issue (possibly due to unlevel swash plate) first impressions are very good.

Tail is far better than the Align GP780 i had on their previously.

Here are some pickies:-

I know this is an old thread but is nobody else using the ZYX(-S) on a 425?

I really haven't flow my FES much but I recently grabbed it off the shelf, ditched the GU365 that came with the combo, and installed a ZYX-S.

To be honest, I have a lot more confidence now than I ever did with the GU365, which seemed to be sensitive to vibration and couldn't seem to hold the tail (I ended up bypassing the GU365 and using a GY401, which fixed the tail issue).

Basic setup was easy using "Soft 3D" as the initial setting and then reducing the cyclic gains down to 25 (from 40) and the cyclic D gain to 10 (from 30, in the advanced settings) to get rid of any potential WOD. These initial settings were posted somewhere on these forums. Note that the settings are based on version 3.5 of the firmware, other versions may be different.
