The product looks legit to me. Do I need an even smaller collective? No. Will I buy a Nano. Probably.

There is an 80 sized competitor already, from the very company that makes a clone of the mCPX.

Looks like HH has learned from the 130x 450x and 300x mcpx..................... It is waiting to announce new things. But yet again I like to see how they go and plant the seed of thought through the forums. Who started that poll about this very topic the other day in the main Blade forum? Seems timely now don't it? Marketing genius and it is practically free.

If that is truly a knotty factory worker then he deserves a raise. He is starting a early buzz with out the dreaded official release date that gets HH in hot water.

So given the Blade lineup pricing. (Every heli is 100 more each step up). Would this sell for $79.99? If so I bet everyone will have one.

Not me. After the 130X fiasco, I'm done with HH. I'll still do mCPX conversions and repairs but I won't buy anymore "new releases" from them. You guys that don't want to build can knock yourselves out. I'll stick to kits that I build myself, know they are done correctly and really "test flown".

Ae we speculating proces yet???

I'm going to guess MAX $159.99 BNF as we see it with 2 batteries and the crappy charger...Or $129.99 AO. On the low end $129BNF $99AO.

I was a little ticked at the $324 (Canadian taxes in) 130x I bought too. I never planned on going bigger then that Blade heli though.

I enjoy the build as well. My 250 was pretty bang on after my build. The 130x basically was a build by the time I was done with it though. It is a great fly'er now that I gave it a week of modding lol . I wish a kit company would build smaller models though. I love my micros.

The photo suggests that it is smaller than the MIni CP, but it could still be a 100 sized rather than a 80 sized CP. I wonder why it comes with a charger that is used in RC toys? Is the battery connector the same as those on the mCPX?

Something is fishy here. I just did a photo distance analysis and I'm looking at an mCP-x airframe with this unit. Using what looks to be "UM3" AA batteries for a known distance reference, the skid mounting holes on the airframe is the same as my mCP-x!? What is this knockoff Blade helicopter?

That's because it probably would use the same main frame. Probably just a shorter tail, lower head, shorter blades, and stuff like that.

Ok, so why is the canopy only 1mm smaller in overall dimension (both height and length) than my mCP-x then?

Using the Blade name would be a counterfeit rather than just a knockoff. It would be far easier and more salable if they just cloned the mCPX entirely rather than to develop a new product. The packaging is consistent with that provided by Blade.

It looks a bit like the Walkera Mini CP which appears much smaller than the mCPX than it really is. The main difference is in the height. Otherwise, the thinner blades and smaller canopy gives the impression that it is much smaller than the mCPX than it really it. I suspect this it still a 100 sized rather than a true 80 sized CP.

IMO that's not a MCPX frame. Look at the rear of the frame right under the rear servo. The support between main gear and the rear servo is shorter than the MCPX frame. Also the motor mounting area is different than a MCPX.

Keen eye.

The main gear also looks substantially thinner.

In fact the frame and the landing skid looks more akin to an MSRX, albeit with a full CP head and a longer tail. Also using the same UM-3 AA batteries size reference, the main rotor should be more or less 181mm... same as an MSRX, while a MCPX is 245 and a MiniCP is 240

Not much different then the MCPX. If it is under $100 I may pick one up as a impulse buy. If it is brushless or more powerful then the MCPX I will probably most definitely need one.

There are few things in the photo which worries me. The canopy design is different from others from Blade. It is more consistent with Nine Eagles or Walkera. Secondly, why would they suddenly incorporate a toy charger? Lastly, there is a small gap between the foam and the cardboard box.

I think this can still be a hoax.

It is their charger for the mCX, mCX2, mCX T, mSR, mSR X, and small planes. The canopy color and shape is consistent with the 130X and I believe BLADE is the only one that uses that packaging style, but it could still be fake.
