Smile New 50cc Ultimate Bipe

Just finished a new Aero Works 50cc Ultimate.

It's equipped with all Futaba goodness, and...

DA 50 w/ pitts muffler swinging a 22 x 8 prop.
Align DS620 on the throttle
BLS451's on the ailerons
S9157's on elevators, and rudder.
Airwild servo arms across the board.
Fromeco switches and regulators w/ Outrage 2S lipo's

Hopefully she'll make her maiden voyage in a day or two.

Here's some pics.

Smile Video

Just a update. The plane flies very well, but it weighs in a little over 19 lbs. wet. It has a pretty good climb rate with the DA-50, but it leaves me wondering about a DA-85. An 85 would add about 2 lbs to the model (maybe run into a wing loading issue), but also give me about 3.5 additional HP.

ditch the pitts muffler. they are horrible and probably is robbing you of atleast 400 rpms. the stock da muffler is leaps and bounds better. maybe look into getting a canister or a tuned pipe if you need more power.
