Default Demon 3sx, on small heli?

My BEC Pro claims to be for 3S and up. In fact it's the only voltage that provides the full 20A. listed on the bottom of the Case.
Regardless , I was having the issue with the CC BEC 10A.
There was something else going on in my case anyway. I'm leaning towards voltage ripple as I said before. A Cap Pack may have been the answer however I never went there as space was an issue.
I've just this morning flown my 500 that I fitted the same BD & BEC for it's 45th through to 50th flight. So far , all good. Now using the full RX and Loom I'm hoping I won't have to be dealing with Throttle cuts anymore.
This has gotten really off topic I guess !
So my answer to the original OP would be yes they fly fine in a 450 , just be aware some have had issues when using a Sat only setup if that's the route your considering. Make sure you can supply a good stable current !

I don't think so, the CC BEC pro does not out put 20 amp continuos. It's 20 amp peak, it can only output 15 amp continuos with 16 volts input. It's designed for applications of MORE than 3s.

I thinks it's confusing for sure. But I believe that's the reality.

I could be wrong, but the math does not add up for me. Your right back on topic, sorry.

I use the 3SX on a 450x. Always used it with one DSMX sat.
So far I have over 3200 flights with no issues other than mechanical & myself.

I was using 2 sats but don't think that had anything to do with my issues. My ESC wires were extended about an inch that may have induced some voltage ripple which could account for the Throttle Cuts. I was only getting one occasionally & had set my Throttle Failsafe to 20% so as not to go into 'slow-startup'. They were really just an annoyance than a major problem as the Heli was back on the power instaniously.
It seems like some guys have zero problems with Sats like yourself and others do !
A good steady power supply appears to be the key !

I have the 3sx on my 450L Dominator. I am using a full receiver though.

I have a bd3sx on a 450 and a 300x. Just using a single sat on both of these and using the ESC internal BEC. One set to 5.5V (I cant change it). The other set to 6.0V I've never had a brown out on either.

I have the BD3SX on my larger helis to and they also work just fine on SAT only.

Yup. Same for me. Trex Dominator with 2 DSMX sats running from the bec built into the stock speed control set on the 6v setting. Works great, up to about 100 flights now.

I ran my Goblin 500 with 2 sats as well but with a Hercules external BEC. Never a problem.
