Default New 425 Pilot Advice

After some good flying experience (okay bad too) on a Blade 400 I purchased a 425 kit and love the bird. I am now transitioning (just starting) into 3D practice and am looking for confirmation on advice I've been given by a LHS that specializes in Gaui helis. The previous LHS who helped set up the TX had 30% Expo in everything except rudder. The new shop says NO EXPO ON HELI'S? Any input here? https://www.helifreak.com/images/smilies/confused.gif

In my opinion there is nothing wrong with running expo on helis. Some people like the expo some people dont. i say if you want to try without expo go ahead. It will be alot more responsive around center stick without expo. Or you could slowly reduce the expo percent as you get used to it. Bottom line is do what feels right to you. There is no right or wrong.

I also use expo on my Trex 450 but am not currently on the Gaui 425. I still say do what feels best for your flying.

Thanks much for the reply. I took all expo out of my Blade 400 (my practice ship) and actually fight the sticks less (as I was told I would) and like the precision capabilities much better. Took up the Gaui w/o expo in some pretty gusty conditions and scared the crap out of myself the next day. Will log another flight today.
Would love to hear from other pilots
