Default Only split packs?

Am I missing something or does Revo no longer off 6s 5000 as a single pack? I see they have a split pack, but I really don't want that.

I suspect that is due to the total watt hours being greater than 100 which is the max for shipping by air. I think you can still get it as one but how to ship is the question. BTW thanks for providing quick access while the site has been put on hold

Raptorapture is correct. Per IATA regulations (which Fedex and all other shippers I know of require compliance with) the maximum energy a Lithium ion battery may contain is 100Wh. For a 6S pack (22.2V nominal) that means the maximum capacity permitted is 4500mAh to stay under the 100Wh limit.

Rather than refuse to ship 6S packs larger than 4500mAh, Revolectrix came up with a split pack solution. It includes two extra short leads that aren't connected during shipping and a jumper used to connect them upon receipt. Once connected they stay that way, in theory there's no functional difference. But for shipping purposes it's considered two 11.1V packs (half the combustion energy).

The last time I ordered Revo packs wasn't that long ago and my order said split packs but I received normal 6S packs at 5000mAh and 5500mAh capacity. I'm not saying that's normal, just what my last experience was.

No, just one. Balance leads are inherently not connected together, so there would be nothing to split.
