Default Seperate RX / Controller battery ?

After reading about quads flipping and crashing because of possible voltage drops or spikes, maybe a lesson learned from big electric planes - using a seperate radio battery and do away with power from the ESC / main LiPo should be considered.
Just use signal wires from the ESC's and a second battery (4.8v NiMh) for the RX and Controller. This should ensure a constant voltage with no spikes.
