Default "Flare up" during FF

Just wondering if what I am experiencing is normal. During forward flight, my 500 tends to flare up (nose up), so that I have to keep pushing it down. It may be that my tail is a bit heavy, although I have tried to get the CG right and it seems ok (using coat hanger on the flybar method). I am just not sure if that is normal. I know that the blades get more efficient as the heli is moving, but is it normal to have to keep pushing the nose down a bit to maintain forward flight? It seems to tail down during backwards flight. I have these cheapo blades, I wonder if their airfoil is not optimal or something. Maybe it is supposed to do that, or maybe I am doing it myself, or maybe it is not trimmed/cg'd properly.... Or maybe it is normal?

I can say from MY personal experiences with my 500 the nose does indeed tend to pitch up during FF flight. Definitely more than my 450 does.

But honestly, it doesn't bother me at all.....it acts kind of like a "safety net" per se for those times I have to swat bugs away and such

I guess I asked for that one.

Thanks for the input Skarn. It doesn't bother me much anyway, just trying to determine how this thing is "supposed" to fly.

Put the batter a bit forward of the CG and then trim the bird to hover in NORM with no drift.

When you switch to ST1, the bird will naturally want to continue moving forward.

ST2 can also be trimmed to hover stable for 3D manuvers.

I wouldn't want to use any trim for ME at least....if I did, when I flipped to inverted, it would be off again...

Heavier paddles with less surface and heavier blades will probably help a lot. But there will be impact on your cyclic performance. The more agile the more it will pitch in FF.

....Or remove the flybar and get an electric stabilizer. V-Stabi, SK360, AC3X, Gyrobot and the Cyclock + 2 additional gyro's are popular choices. No more pitch up in FF and more forward speed as a bonus!
