Interesting. I think we are set for live with our 4010s. I think this is a slightly lesser model. Just make sure you have the latest working firmware!

6s and a tad more power than the 308Duo. Pricing will define it's position in the product line.
EDIT: Looks like its going to be a little more than 308Duo.

Looks good, but I hope they will adress the reliability of their chargers soon and not just focusing on pushing out new products.

Could you be more specific? I believe all Duo teething issues were sorted out with the 4010 release and the 308 was mostly without issue. Statistically the 308 has been the most successful charger release we've seen at ProgressiveRC. Further, the beta testing team for the 406 has not had a single bug to report.

It's a really really great charger when it works, and odds it will not is still slim I think, but compared to other electronics it seems to go bad much more often sadly. And dont be the first to try out new firmware, give it a week or two incase it melts the charger instead of cycling your packs

I started out with the 306B and 3010B. They worked great. They also fit in my bench drawer very well.
However, when the 4010 Duo came out, I wanted to get it, but it was a little too big for my bench drawer. Here is a size comparison between the chargers side by side. This picture was taken by another HF member. The main reason why I wanted to "upgrade" from the 306/3010B was for the nice display and the ability to charge and obtain data for 2 separate batteries at a time. I did not mind parallel charging with the previous chargers, but I like how the 308 allows me to more easily keep logs on the individual packs. The 308 makes it much easier to keep accurate logs on the individual packs. The 308 Duos are also small enough to fit in my bench drawer. Since I no longer need to charge in parallel, I do not need much charging power per channel. So for me it would have been fine if Junsi came out with an iCharger step below the 308 Duo, but with the same display. This new 406Duo seems to be at a level between the 308 and the 4010, but with the physical size of the 308. I assume the retail price will also be between the 308 and 4010.
