Default Main gear rubbing tail gear hub.

I followed the manual and put all required spacers on top and under the main gear. I know it says it will have axial play for correct gear mesh with the motor. My only concern is the main gear is rubbing the gears on the tail. Seems like the main gear is riding to high. I do not have the motor installed yet so maybe that will change it?? Anyone else have this happen?

The clearance should be close but not rubbing. There's one above the tail drive gear , then 2 in between.

I did buy an extra bag of shims. I put an extra .5mm below the maingear. I still had some up down play but reduced. When i pull the maingear up and down i can feel it click so i know that there is some clearance , yet no binding.

On another note , the guys on the logo 700 forum are having an issue with the main gear appearing to be warped. Turns out the oneway bearing was to large for the gear. If you have to use the bolts to pull the hub into the main gear then your to tight. If without bolts you can (with some effort) turn the center within the maingear your good.

I had to use the screws to draw the one way in. You put spacers on the top of the tail gear? I followed the instructions. It shows two 1mm spacers on top of the main gear (below the tail gear) and one 1mm and one .5 mm below the main gear.

Thats the problem, and is why the gear is now warped.
Will send you a PM.
