Hi

Just wanted to see if anyone knows the definite weight difference between the standard Mikado frame and the Kaos frame, I am sure I read somewhere in apost that it is approx 75 grams heavier but I can't find it.
I will be looking to convert a logo 500

Here's my post about that -> https://www.helifreak.com/showpost.p...2&postcount=37
+ ~50g for the Carbon frame
+ 25g for the Logo 500 20mm boom adaptor
I think after my last crash it's worth the additional weight!

Default Logo 700 Kaos

Here's a couple more pics of the logo 700 frame...

as you will see...I used another battery plate and screwed it to the frame on top of the other battery tray plate ...and it works great as an extension...I am using a g10 support for the tray...I only have one side mounted on it right now as it's not completed but you get the idea

here's my setup so far:

Kaos CF frame
770xl belt
RJX 90 head
BLS 451's
9256 tail servo
Raptor 90 boom
Outrage 550 landing Gear

It would be really nice if there was even a diagram of this frame set available. I've searched everywhere, and the only help I have in building it is pics of Anthony's frames. I wish manufacturers would realize that people have to assemble their products and provide some guidance.

If you're building right now, pay attention to the servo screws. If they're too long for the back (pitch) servo, they interfere with the frame screw!
I thought about taking photos when building and assemble a how-to, but as always when you got something new
Another thing are swash servos, mount them first in the CNC parts so you have the right height. My BLS451 are higher than the distance of the part which holds the main shaft bearings.

Thanks, I've had it for a month or so, and just havnn't had the time to build it. I sat down with it today, and honestly, I doubt that I'm going to bother now. I don't have the time to screw around with things and experiment to get the right fit while trying to study pictures on a forum. Especially when I was planning on tearing down my Outrage 550 to build this up.

I'm just going to throw it in a box and maybe I'll get to it some time this winter, or perhaps the manufacturer can see their way clear to provide some sort of guidance on assembly and I'll get to it sooner. Either that or I'll just sell it and build up another stock Logo 500 since I prefer that to my Outrage. It's a shame, I hoped to get it built today so I could have it in the air for my fun fly in a couple weeks. Now I seriously doubt it'll ever get built. If anyone is interested in buying it form me, I have the G10 version and I'd be more than happy to sell it.

Did that battery set-up fit in the stock frames? I'm guessing 2x4s3600 or 2x4s4200 right?

The biggest pack I;ve got is a Hyperion 2 x 4S 4200, which does fit the stock frames if you remove some material from the battery entry area of the frame and I had to stagger the mounting of the packs, you can see it in the pics.

Thanks, I'm lookin to add a 500se to the fleet and plan on running 8s and it seems like the best route is the 2 Hyperions stacked.

Default Another option...

you could always use a logo 600 canopy and you would have PLENTY of room for packs...I am running a 10s and 12s 5500mah setup on 2 of my kaos framed machines

I built a couple of battery tray extensions as you can see here

Jag. This is NOT meant to offend. But, you have that ultra bling high tech looking frame, and have a battery extension made of random pieces and parts. Why not order Mikado part number 4000 and make it look right? After all, this thread is kind of the advertisement for that frame.

Default Extension...

I actually tried that Mikado battery extension but it DOESN'T work well with that KAOS frame...so I had to build one from random pieces I had laying around...lol..

Good thing the canopy covers them....I know they're a bito n the ugly side but they work very well ....I suppose with a bit of time and a dremel I could get a better looking tray...but I just don't have the motivation
