It looks a lot like the 8FG.

Looks like an updated 8FGs with telemetry... Had a DX8 and never used the telemetry so it wouldn't be worth it for me.

If it has MaH counter capability I'll be in for sure.

Pretty sure my 8FG has 14 channels now. Looks like an 8FG with telemetry in an uglier case and even uglier price I expect

Hi guys, while we are a bit early in the release of the 14SG. I'll try to answer some of your questions about it. Here are answers to the questions I can recall so far from various forums. Btw, the 14SG web page will be up soon, so keep checking at www.futaba-rc.com

Case- no it's not the same as the 8FG, the feel is very solid, switch spacing is wider (like the 18MZ), rubber grips on the sides and back.

Modulation: FASST, FASSTest, and yes...S-FHSS!

Telemetry, with vibration alerts, louder beeper also.

Programming is very similar to the 8FGS.

SensorTouch programming dial has been improved, it also has two buttons. You'll read more about these when the web page is up.

6v 1700 NiMH pack for power. I don't have run times yet, but so far it looks like well over 4 hours depending on how much you use the backlighting.

That's it for now, let me know if you have additional questions and I'll try to answer them.

Steve

Sweet! Too bad I got a new 8FG at IRCHA and sent my old one for refurbishing. I think I'll sell one of them to fund the 14SG!!!

BTW Steve, why the S-FHSS with exclamation point? Isn't is a more rudimentary implementation of 2.4?

Two questions:

Will there be a mAh telemetry sensor for this radio?

Will there be a vibration alarm?

S-FHSS works perfectly and it does allow the end user to use our S-FHSS receivers which are a bit less expensive than the FASST options.

Sensor-wise, the 14SG uses the same sensors as the 18MZ, if a mAH sensor is released it should work with the 14SG also.

Yes there are vibration alarms, this was noted in my initial post.
