Beltp CP TX HOV.PIT question
Could someone please tell me what do the two HOV.PIT knobs do on this TX?
The manual does not mention what they are used for. -- Phil |

Well it may do nothing, those transmitters are generic and ship with different models I'm sure.
Its intent is to be able to fine tune your head speed around the hover point by varying what would be the middle point in a multipoint pitch curve. |

It seems to do what BarracudaHockey and foo foo fighter said it does.
I am still playing with it, however, i noticed that if it is set to low the head speed does sound slower however the aileron and elevator / (recover from trouble, hopefully) response is also reduced. -- Phil |

Thanks!
That's the first time I've seen that manual. It didn't come with the kit. -- Phil |

Left knob.
further you go backwards (counterclockwise) from the 12 o clock position the higher your headspeed will be before it will lift off (more stable and better tail control, shorter flight time) further clockwise from 12, the slower the headspeed and greater the pitch curve so you lift off at a much lower rpm, stock gyro will have some trouble keeping up, but thats good in a way for you to learn to control the tail, Heli will become for skiddish / responsive to your inputs as well. For beginners i suggest 10 o clock position on the left knob, i usually have both of my knobs at 1 o clock position when in regular flight mode both at 12 o clock in 3d. |
