OWB block holds the one way bearing. It is screwed into the main gear and allows the freewheel action of the auto rotation gear to occur.

Like Dave said. The OWB is located inside the mount (small round unit with six bolt holes) which is mounted in the center of the main gear.

Boy does that new main gear look nice! Lol. I should have known you would have a picture of the entire exploded part. Canopy is being repainted to a more visible yellow, burnt orange, color.......

OWB
thank you for explanation guys.
on a similar note. i am building 800E and was reading that BL700h and BL750h are recommended servos for it. are there alternatives? also same question about Align's 750MX motor and ICE2 120HV. are those the only solutions to make 800E a good flying machine or would something else work. i just ordered black TT front and rear gear set and main rotor slanted according to your suggestions. thank you! |

Is this the unit you were talking about that was causing your unexpected Auto's?

800E
is that ok?
also i am looking for some additional info as posted earlier. i am building 800E and was reading that BL700h and BL750h are recommended servos for it. are there alternatives? (Savox, Futaba,..) also same question about Align's 750MX motor and ICE2 120HV (would yge 120HV be better?) are those the only solutions to make 800E a good flying machine or would something else work? i just ordered black TT front and rear gear set and main rotor slanted according to your suggestions. |

I'd do the KDE OWB upgrade until Align can get the manufacturing under control. I'd do the gears for sure including the main and the soon to be released anti rotation gear. I'd also bump up to the cc 160 for peace of mind. I'm sure the cc120 will work most of the time but castle still has issues with the HV v2s. A couple of folks had them catch fire. My 160 comes down cooler than it went up. I'd also replace the stock dampers with the lynx ones nu66ie posted so far so good with those.
The rest is a matter of taste, but there is nothing wrong with the stock servos esp. If you run on a 2s lipo. Haven't heard much at all about a failing HV servo. I replaced the stock gear with the quick UK large gear as they fit the heli better than the 700 sized stock ones. Better lateral balance too. Motor seems to be fine just run it with 12 timing and 12 PWM per Dino. After these modifications I think its a winner. Fantastic power to weight and amazing that it can perform well on 12 s with 800 blades....... |

800E
sounds good, will go forward with the recommendations here but you lost me at
"Motor seems to be fine just run it with 12 timing and 12 PWM per Dino." i am ordering cc160 just because of reading all the stories posted from people about 120 burning out, just like you said. now, i plan on using 2S battery which is 7.4V. do i need a voltage regulator for the servos in this case? thank you hidaven for all your input! |

No voltage regulator needed just plug the 2s lipo straight in. The settings you need in the castle 160hv are 12 on the timing and 12 under the PWM setting per Dino the Align rep. I put my esc on the rear deck to keep it cool. Rear deck behind the main shaft......
