Default Tail not holding

Second test flight with my Trex700N with the new firmware 1.1 is working great. I can tell a big time change in the gov settings. I set the 3GX up in beginner mode. I really like the way it feels. My only complaint is the tail servo will not hold at 90degs. It doesn't wag at all. The servo arm moves very slow to the rear position of the servo, which in flight rotates the tail to the left in (tail in flight). I can watch the servo arm on the heli while the engine is ideal'n. I'm running a JR8900G servo. My gain on the TX is 70% and no mods to the firmware.
I mounted the 3GX with one peace of supplied 2 sided tape and also tried 2 peaces of 2 side tape. it still moves.
Has any body witnessed this? Please help

I would start from scratch. Can you test by connecting one of the other servos in its spot to see if the "hunting problem" stays or goes? Atleast you can rule out a faulty servo first. Or do you have a spare rx you can use to test that servo? Also double check mechanical setup if you have the spare rx, just because...???

If the problem doesnt show up with a normal rx it is then in the 3gx unit/programming

I would then reprogram all the 3gx Rudder Gyro Settings and then see what happens.

Default Tail servo update

It appears to be carb needle adjustments. I have never really adjustments to the needle positions. The 91HZ_R manual says to open the main needle 2.5 turns from fully closed and the medium needle 1 turn open. Does that mean 2 full turns +1/2. Tha seems like alot anyway I adjusted and the engine seems to run smooth which =less vibration.
Any Idea's on the needle settings?

Id bump that over to the 700n forum and see what pops up. As for the tail not holding, your first post said it was working great with the new firmware, assuming you meant flying, and that you liked the way it felt other than the tail "walking" issue.

Are you using an rx or sats? Have you tried to rebind, then reprogram?

Im kinda lost here... Tail issues? Or motor issues?

Default update

Sorry about that...I guess what I was trying to say is...the engine idle was a little rough causing more than less vibration. So I tinkered witht he needles and idle needle to tune the engine. The vibration smoothed out somewhat. The tail walking slowed down alot. Hints thats why I ask fellow 3GX owners for so help with dialing in the needle. I understand that all engines are not alike. I was looking for a ballpark figure...I've looked through the forum and found old needle setting post...But none of the threads included 3GX users.
