Default Tail Bobbing after Piro Flips?

Yep you read it right... just started a few days ago.
I already tried turning down the FFD & Cyclic Gain to normal. No changes.

For about 30-60 seconds after a single piro flip, even if I just hover after, the tail/nose bobs 4-5 degrees up & down.... then after that it stops & flys normal.

I was thinking maybe turbulence, but turbulence would not effect only one axis & would not be so predictable.

Are the Gyros getting temporarily "doyed" from all the werid spinning in the Piro flip?

This happen to anyone else?

I'll take that as a resounding NO.... Guess the BEast-X is starting to die....ITs ok, she's lasted over 2 years & 5 crashes on that bird

I've never had such an issue. Maybe your dampners are worn out?

Never had that issue Caveman, but I doubt your MB is starting to give out on you. Of course nothing is impossible, but I would first look to mechanical problems having developed as opposed to the MB behaving strangely.

If it were right after a crash, and you had fixed all mechanical issues that resulted, then maybe one might conclude that it was the MB, but your description kind of suggests it just started to happen out of the blue. Mine have all suffered some crashes, and one, on the 450, has had some truly massive impacts, and a high crash count, going back a few years to my early days, and it still flys perfectly well.

Personally I wouldn't attempt any form of tuning on the MB. You will be chasing ghosts, and possibly masking other issues by tuning them away, but they will likely return as the issue worsens, if you are lucky. If you are unlucky the mechanical issue could worsen and lead to a crash. I never tune something that was flying well, when it stops doing so. I always look to the mechanicals.

I agree that worn dampeners is a reasonable candidate, but there could be other causes. If it were me I'd expect that issues with servos would fall in front of issues with the MB in terms of the probable cause, but yes, dampeners, loose links, worn shafts, bearings, etc, would all come before the MB for me.

Two years is not a good life span, in my opinion, I have some MBs that go back much longer, with thousands of flights on them, and still no issues. I have had issues, but it's always turned out to be as a result of something other than the MB itself. Indeed, when I got my first one I was very disappointed with the tail, but following advice in here, it turned out that I had a problem with my torque tube bearing. Rookie mistake, I hadn't glued it properly, and oddly enough it had slipped to the middle, and it was vibrating badly. All I did was move it about 10mm off centre, or whatever the recommended distance was, and the tail issues were immediately resolved.

So, I think look elsewhere, and I agree, dampeners is as good a place to start as any, as suggested by blade450.

Good luck with it.
