You need to check the links at both ends. The ball holes may need to be resized and the end where the pin goes may need to be relieved a little.

I'll give it a try....btw...Im done (build) with the rest of the heli......o ya....about the belt tension, for a new mini, what other ways or signs (other than testing the tension on both front and rear points) to tell that it has the appropriate belt tension?....

Hmmm, some people spin the blades by hand and count the number of turns, but I just press on the belt infront and behind the main gear. The rear I setup like any other belt heli, but the front is set pretty loose. The other way to tell is to give the heli some sharp pitch pumps and you will hear a grinding noise if the belt is too loose and skipping.

oo..another thing.....about my rudder servo ball lenght...on manual 7.5 mm frm center, FYI, Im using Hitec 5084.......the best arms that I can get 90 deg are the rounded one (others are way out) but it only give about 6.5 mm max...do you think I can go with that length?

Give it at try, see if you can get full travel on the slider, if you can it should be ok.

pull outward hard on each tail grip once bolted to the hub before you bolt the pitch links to the grips. You will be suprised as the bearings will seat. You will feel it move outward and probably hear a little click. Also you can't bottom the bolt head that holds the grips to the pitch slider links. I tighten till it just bottoms then back off a 1/4 turn. I would love to see msh come out with a slider with mini bearings in the pitch links for this area! There are no ball links on the mini tail pitch links LOL! That is the protos.

Haa, just shows I have too many heli's, can't keep track of the setups of all of them.

But yes, Scott is right, getting the bearings seated is important and not over tightening the screws into the grips helps as well.

is there any upgrades for the mini tail out there?....well, I managed to get a little bit smoothness on the shaft but have to loosen the screws a bit on the pitch arms, a little bit more, it will not move at all........this is using a second tail rotor unit

Not really any upgrades available, you just need to work out which part is causing the binding. Try removing the control arm and with the pitch slider connected to the grips do you still have binding? I found the control arm with the 2 screws in it sitting properly in the grove in the tail slider was the part that needed some patience to get right.

yup...it still have, so its not the control arm....myb its the slider arms that are quiet stiff...myb hv to do some itsy bitsy filling on the holes (slider arm) where the rod goes, a friend suggest it to me as it also happened to him before. Last night, I installed the rudder servo but hvnt connect it to the beastx yet. The ball link distance was just over 6 mm but still have full travel on the slider. I'll be taking a short break, going to my in-laws for xmas.
