Do to the fact that Hyperion has not innovated anything in years, no you can not do per cell IR. Likewise you can never do regenerative discharging.

Hey Chris, your reputation precedes you!
What is the point of the above mentioned capabilities? the regenreative discharge I sor tof get, but wha tis the point of measuring internal resisitance? Does this give an indication of the batteries state of health? ie more IR less healthy???

I will drop you an email via your home page in the next while, hope you wont mind..

Measuring the ir of a pack gives you a way to determine the quality, health and performance of a pack. It is by no means an exact thing, as there are way too many variables, but it can be useful. Most chargers can measure the pack ir and each individual cell ir, the Hyperion's can not. Honestly the only useful measurement for most people is the individual cell ir. That way you can see if a cell is out of whack or simply how well the pack is matched.

Why do I keep reading that Hyperion does not show individual cell IR?

My Duo 3 shows it. Just a few button presses after the charge and it's all there.

Mind you, it's not as accurate as my PL8 and 10s charger but it IS there so I can at least have a rough idea how each cell is doing health-wise.

Sounds like you Hyperion charger is different than everyone else's then. How about a photo of the screen on yours so we can see what it looks like?

LoL you can see the IR of all the cells not one by one..!

Ok, you guys were right...

It shows me the whole pack ir (13mOhms) on my test pack.

I guess it's easy to forget when you have 2 other chargers that DO show individual cell IR.

To those that want/need to see individual cell IR, you'll have to buy a FMA Cellpro 10s or Power Lab 8 charger.

Bumping an old thread.... Just in case someone from this old thread doesn't know.... As of a year ago the Hyperion chargers can show cell IR. I just stumbled onto this fact but assumed after searching and finding this post a week ago that they still didn't. I just updated my firmware so I am looking forward to the individual cell IR. They also updated the IR in 5.86 to be more inline with other chargers (will read a little lower than before). You will probably want the latest though which is 5.91 (which is what I just installed).

5.82 (Oct 27th 2012) http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...postcount=4160
- Fix: It has bigger tolerances for balancer circuit failure detection, meaning those that get OUTPUT BATTERY CONNECTION (or slight variances) error at end of charge, will most likely not see them anymore, and if they do, that really means there is a connection issue on your balancer board, no more false positives.
- New: Internal Resistance per Cell can now be viewed (under Balancer, while charging)
- New: Rampup during charge for measuring breaks now takes it slower on storage mode too so Generators can catch up.
- New: TCS now allows 1% resolution between 95 to 100%
- New: Storage level % can now be programmed by the user (default 60%)
- New: New QuickCharge mode but at this time we suggest using TCS rather, especially now when the TCS has better resolution during the last 5%

Latest firmware 5.91:
