Default is the nano a disposable heli?

ive gone through two nanos to the point where its really not worth fixing them and im thinking about getting my third since they are so fun to fly so do you think the nano is a disposable heli where you beat on it then get a new one every couple of months or is it a long term investment?

Have had 2 mild BL nanos for about 6 months and over 1000 flights between the two. I have completely retired 20 batteries running them.

Replaced about 5 FS, 10 set of skids, 3 main blade grips, 3 main shafts, 2 swashplates, 3 tail rotors, 2 BL motor shatts, 5 tail booms (before going solid) and 1 main board.

Replaced stock bullet blades with yellow bullet blades just for visibility(about 30 flights ago)

Not disposable perhaps your some uber 3d god, Im just sport flying

Just don't crash. Parts that wear out are cheap and replaceable. Even if you crash parts are still cheap and replaceable. Plus parts can be upgraded for longer life. Although I probably have been through enough parts to buy 4 nanos, but that is just because I crashed and like upgrades. I do plan on keeping mine flying forever. I wouldn't put one on the shelf because it has a couple of broken parts, then go buy another, I would just fix it. A backup is nice.

They only time I would consider replacing my nano is when a board goes bad but, even then, Mega Micros will fix it for $25. So, I would have to say it is not throw away.

I guess it's disposable depending on how many you can afford to purchase.

The motor is a consumable item but other than that, it's a good long term hell. I'm tempted to upgrade to BL one of these days on mine.

I actually bought a "disposable" nano with the intention of learning basic inverted stuff without freaking out about every crash. After 50 flights and 150 crashes I had indeed learned how to fly inverted, and the heli was pretty much #$%#ed so I just retired it for parts and rebuilt a new one.

That all said, the nano is really no more flimsy or disposable than any other Blade micro, it's just so small and cheap that it feels like it is! I treat my 2 remaining nanos with just as much TLC as all my other birds.
