Filling with nitro
How do you fill your tank?
Do you have a T piece near the carb inlet. Do you not have a T piece and just pull the tube. Do you fill from the muffler side?

I pull the line off the carb to fill.
Nice clean look. All my filters are in my fuel jug so no filter on the heli. |

I use a T-style filter in the line to the carb w/ a short piece of tubing, plugged at the end. Just pinch the line below the carb and pull the plug to fill the tank.

I would but the laws of physics say no. Although it is very good at filling the motor

Yes - I personally don't do it this way but have come across it twice recently and the method quite surprised me.
Also, in general I don't like pulling tubes off the barbs on filters.

The heat makes the fuel line brittle and pulling it off the muffler repeatedly will wear it out 100X faster than anywhere else. |

muffler - not to mention that it hurts like hell if you touch it and leaves a nice blister. makes no sense to me to have anythng going on on the muffler side. i use a t.

Fuel goes into the tank and goes to the lowest part of the tank where the pick-up is also located. Since the fuel is being pushed in it want to find a way out which happens to be the pick-up that also at the lowest point in the tank. Henceforth out the pick up into the engine (or header tank and the same thing happen but in a smaller scale). Very little actually stays in the tank. Or, if there's enough back pressure from the motor and the pump is strong enough then it blows a line off.

I've always used a t connector except on kasama because they have a built in separate line for fuel but I also use an in line filter. That is a must I think, especially if you use a fuel magnet. In case it deteriorated and went straight to the motor.

We always fill from the inlet side because as you fill the tank with fuel the air has to be vented out through the muffler line
